About wi.ki
Wi.ki was founded by wealthy industrialist Hubert Van Lindsley Rothchild III in the midst of the Great Depression as a primitive means to catalog the contents of his porcelain doll collection. At the time, a "wiki" was nothing more than a ream of loose leaf paper in a cardboard box. It still is.
Wi.ki launched on 28 February 2007[1].
